I helped a friend prune her Russian olive tree and found,
somewhat the hard way,
that they have viscious thorns on their lower extremities.
She insisted that I take some trimmings home for dinner,
or whatever. Given the runup to the 2016 US election, having
a Russian Olive Branch extended seemed appropriate.
The branch spins around slowly and aimlessly when triggered by motion.
