Random Balls III
Random Balls is the third version of something I started 30 years ago
to illustrate the deterministic universe, and how it was really hard
to predict. Strangely enough I was blundering around the idea of Chaos,
while just a few buildings away the real physicists were doing the
same. This version uses complicated circuitry -- the same coupled
fake-neurons as in the Organ and Chorus Line; whereas the previous
were just flashing lights stuffed into Christmas balls.
The advantage of the
complicatedness is that the system settles into patterns that can be
disturbed by a hand-clap causing it to settle into different patterns.
